Carmella Stripped Of The Briefcase, New MITB Match Set, Lana Gets a Rematch

- Due to the controversial ending to the first-ever women’s Money In the Bank ladder match at Sunday’s WWE MITB pay-per-view, SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan announced on tonight’s show that Carmella is no longer Ms. Money In the Bank. He took the briefcase from her and announced a MITB Ladder Match for next Tuesday’s SmackDown. The match will feature Carmella, Tamina Snuka, Becky Lynch, Natalya and Charlotte Flair. The winner will be officially crowned the first-ever Ms. Money In the Bank.

However, during the segment Daniel Bryan said that: "MITB matches are No DQ matches and there's nothing in the rule book that says you can't have someone else climb the ladder and take the briefcase." Bryan added that "the rule book simply says the first woman to hold the briefcase is the winner," noting that there has been interference in the past. So this made the decision nonsense.

- After retaining her title over Lana at Sunday's WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view, Naomi has granted Lana a rematch to take place on next Tuesday's SmackDown from San Diego.

During a backstage interview with Naomi, Lana interrupts and says that Naomi should be thanking Carmella because the Smackdown Women's Champion would be ravishing. Lana challenges Naomi to a rematch. Naomi says she will give Lana another chance next week.
