BREAKING: Kaitlyn Returning to WWE As a Competitor In The Mae Young Classic
As seen below, WWE has just announced that former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn will be a competitor in this year’s Mae Young Classic. She is the first participant announced for the 32-woman tournament.
“Rising to fame in 2010 when she won Season 3 of NXT, which was a competition series among WWE rookies at the time, Kaitlyn quickly became a staple of what is now known as the WWE Women’s division.

With an extensive background in bodybuilding and power lifting, Kaitlyn used her remarkable strength and explosiveness to conquer opponents. She reached the summit of the division in January 2013 when she defeated Eve to capture the Divas Championship in her hometown of Houston on the 20th Anniversary of Raw. Kaitlyn held the title for 153 days before losing it to one of her greatest rivals, AJ Lee.”
Kaitlyn left WWE in 2014 and, at the time, she said that her wrestling career was done as she wanted to focus on fitness and bodybuilding. Things changed and she made her return in February for an independent show in Florida with the goal of making it back to WWE.

It’s unclear if this is just a one-shot deal for the tournament or if there are plans to bring her on board full-time with NXT or the main roster.
