Ronda Rousey Wins RAW Women's Title

Ronda Rousey Wins RAW Women's Title
Ronda Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss to become the new RAW Women's Champion at tonight's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

At the start of the match, Bliss stepped to the outside ropes and ring to avoid any physical contact with Rousey. Rousey tried to draw Bliss in the ring by offering to sit in the middle of the ring, with her back turned and eyes closed. Bliss took the bait and locks in a chin lock.

Rousey gets to her feet and drops Bliss to the mat. A chase around the ring followed but when the action returned to the ring, Rousey continued to dominate, hoisting Bliss over her shoulders and dropping her for a second time. In the end, Rousey was able to force Bliss to tap out via the armbar.

Rousey celebrated with Natalya and The Bella Twins after the match. This is interesting as Rousey vs. Nikki Bella is the current plan for the main event of the first-ever all-women's Evolution pay-per-view on October 28.

This is Rousey's first title run since signing with WWE earlier this year. Bliss just won the title back on June 17 by defeating Nia Jax at Money In the Bank with a cash-in.
