Injury Updates on Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss

Injury Updates on Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss
- Dave Meltzer provided a minor update on Sasha Banks. WWE typically provides injury updates on their website except for rare occasions. In many instances, they would hold back information whenever there is a head injury. We don’t know if that is the case with Banks.

“I don’t have a specific injury. She’s off for medical reasons is all that I know.” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “As far as whatever else, obviously they’re keeping that one quiet. It’s not like I haven’t asked.”

Meltzer added, “Whatever reason, I don’t know why they wouldn’t say. Usually, when they don’t say, there’s usually a story as to why and you end up getting more suspicious.”

Banks hasn’t wrestled since September 9 live event in Biloxi, MS. She teamed with Bayley, Ember Moon, and Natalya. They defeated Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, and The Riott Squad.

- Dave Meltzer also provided an update on Alexa Bliss. Similar to Sasha Banks, WWE has declined to provide specific details other than stating that she was dealing with numbness in her arm. That usually indicates a neck issue but WWE’s statement indicated that she was injured at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view during her match with Ronda Rousey and they did not make any reference to a back or neck issue. At this point, it doesn’t look like we’ll ever get the full story but the good news is that whatever she is dealing with won’t keep her out of action for an extended period of time.

Bliss was on Raw last night but she did not do anything physical.

“She hasn’t been cleared yet. She’s cleared for minimal contact [which means] she’s allowed at ringside,” Meltzer said on WOR. “She probably can go in and throw a kick here and there but she’s not cleared to fully wrestle.”

The belief is that she will be back in action soon so her situation will have no impact on her match with Trish Stratus at the Evolution pay-per-view on 10/26.
