Who will make it to Evolution to have a chance for the opportunity to be the winner of the 2018 Mae Young Classic?  Will it be Meiko Satomura or Toni Storm?  Will it be Rhea Ripley or Io Shirai?

Toni Storm says Meiko Satomura is the best wrestler in the world.  It is not going to be easy because you don't just beat Meiko.


Meiko Satomura mentions that she wrestled Toni in Japan and it ended in a draw.  She wants to win this match.  She says she wants to compete in the finals.

Toni says that Meiko will be losing to her because this is her dream.

Toni Storm vs. Meiko Satomura in a Semi Final Match

They lock up and Storm with a wrist lock.  Satomura with a reversal.  Storm with a reversal into a hammer lock.  Satomura with a head lock and take down.  Storm gets a near fall.  Storm with a side head lock and Satomura gets a near fall.  Satomura with a head scissors and Storm escapes and applies a side head lock.  Satomura with a leg take down into an arm bar.  Satomura with a kick to the chest.  Storm with a kick and side head lock.

Storm with a shoulder tackle and Satomura does not go down.  Storm with another shoulder tackle but Satomura stays on her feet.  Satomura with kicks but Storm with a boot of her own.  Storm with a kick to the back.  Storm with a head butt and she follows with a second one.  Storm with a kick and she gets a near fall.  Storm with a suplex and she gets a near fall.  Satomura with a kick to the leg and Storm goes to the mat after the second one.  Satomura with another kick to the leg and Satomura kicks Storm in the hamstring.  Satomura with a spinning toe hold and she has Storm in a reverse figure four.

Satomura with a punch and then Satomura turns it into a trailer hitch but Storm gets to the ropes.  Satomura with kicks to the leg.  Satomura with an Irish whip and a running forearm into the corner.  Storm with elbows and forearms.  Satomura with a spinning heel kick.  Satomura with European uppercuts and Storm with a back slide for a near fall.  Storm with a Muta Lock with a chin lock.  Satomura tries to get to the ropes and she is finally able to get to the ropes.  Storm kicks Satomura in the back and then Storm with a running hip strike into the corner.  Storm with a fisherman's suplex for a near fall.  Storm with a kick to the chest and Satomura goes to the floor.

Storm looks around and goes for a suicide dive and hits it on the ramp.  Storm sends Satomura back into the ring and Storm with a Shining Wizard for a near fall.  Storm favors her left elbow after the suicide dive but that does not stop her from kicking Satomura.  The more Storm kicks Satomura, the more it pisses off Satomura.  Satomura with a kick and Storm fires back with a kick.  Satomura with a knee to the midsection followed by a DDT and a cartwheel knee drop to the head.  Satomura with a Death Valley Driver but Storm is able to kick out at two.  Storm blocks a knee and Storm with a German suplex and Storm Zero for a near fall.

Storm picks up Satomura for antoher Storm Zero but Satomura blocks it and hits a Pele Kick.  Satomura with a kick but she can only get a near fall.  Satomura with a scorpion kick but Storm kicks out at two.  Satomura gets Storm up for a Death Valley Driver but Storm counters with Storm Zero for the three count.

Winner:  Toni Storm (advances to Finals to face winner of Io Shirai vs. Rhea Ripley)

After the match, both women bow and hug.

The winner of the first Mae Young Classic, Kairi Sane, presents Toni with roses while Triple H greets Satomura on the stage.

Toni is asked about the feeling of advancing to the Finals.  Toni says as if she just beat Meiko Satomura, a legend, she can now stand in this ring and say that she is living her dream.  It is all because of the girls in the back working their butts off and the support of the fans.  Now she can stand her and say that she is living what she has been dreaming about since she was ten.

Hunter hugs Toni on the stage.

Rhea Ripley is out to get the gold.  Can you not see what she has created and what she has done?  You saw what happened to Tegan Nox.  She will be watching from her hospital bed.

Io Shirai says she is the number one women's wrestler.  She wants to win to show the world how great she is.  She wants to win the tournament.

Io wants to be in the ring at Evolution.  Rhea says she will rip Io apart.

Io Shirai vs. Rhea Ripley in a Semi Final Match

They lock up and Ripley sends Io to the mat.  They lock up again and Ripley sends Shirai to the mat a second time.  Shirai flips around Ripley and hits a drop kick.  Ripley sends Io into the air and Shirai lands face first on the mat.  Ripley gets a near fall.  Ripley with a forearm to the back of the head.  Ripley with kicks to the back.  Ripley with a seated abdominal stretch.  Shirai with a kick but Ripley with forearms to the ribs.  Ripley with a kick to the back.  Ripley with a boot to the back and then she stands on Io's back.  Ripley stomps on the back.

Ripley gets a near fall.  Ripley with a seated abdominal stretch on Io.  Ripley with an abdominal claw as well.  Shirai with punches to try to escape the hold.  Ripley with a forearm and she punches Shirai.  Ripley with a body scissors on Io.  Shirai leans back and gets a near fall.  Ripley holds on to the body scissors and she connects with forearms to the back.  Ripley with a drop kick for a near fall.  Ripley with a boot to the back.  Ripley sets for a suplex and she gets Io up and takes her time to let Shirai land on the mat and Ripley gets a near fall.

Ripley gets another near fall.  Ripley returns to the body scissors.  Ripley with forearms to the back of the head.  Shirai gets face to face and she connects with forearms while in the body scissors.  Ripley with kicks to the back followed by a forearm to the back of the head.  Shirai with a rana for a near fall.  Shirai with a drop kick and Ripley falls to the floor.  Io with a suicide dive cross body onto Ripley on the floor.  Ripley with a shot to Io and she gets back into the ring.  Shirai has trouble getting back into the ring as the referee continues to make his count.  Shirai is able to power up to get back in at nine.

Ripley with forearms to the back.  Shirai slaps Ripley but Ripley with a forearm and she goes for a suplex but Io lands on her feet and hits an uppercut.  Shirai with more palm strikes and a Tiger Feint Kick.  Shirai goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall.  Shirai goes up top but Ripley pulls Shirai's leg and Io lands on the top turnbuckle.  Ripley goes to the turnbuckles for a superplex and she hits it.  Shirai is able to kick out at two.  Ripley with a pump handle slam attempt but Shirai gets to her feet and she sends Ripley shoulder first into the ring post.

Shirai with a running double knee strike into the corner and then Shirai goes up top for the moonsault and hits it for the three count.

Winner:  Io Shirai (Advances to the Finals to face Toni Storm)

After the match, 2017 Mae Young Classic winner, Kairi Sane, presents Io with roses while Triple H hugs Ripley on the stage.  Io hugs Kairi.

Io is asked about making it to the Finals of the Mae Young Classic.  Io says she will win and she thanks everyone.

Beth is asked for her pick on Sunday and she picks Toni Storm.  Renee picks Io Shirai.   Michael Cole picks Toni Storm.

Io is congratulated by Hunter on the stage.   They are joined by Kairi Sane and Sara Amato.

Toni Storm comes out as well and we have the face off between the two participants in the finals and they hug.
